From Imaging to Intervention: The Evolving Landscape of Tricuspid Regurgitation

Purpose:
This symposium aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the recent clinical trials and imaging studies in patients with tricuspid regurgitation after TriClip therapy. The session will explore the impact of TR on cardiac remodeling, discuss outcomes following transcatheter tricuspid interventions, and its implications for clinical practice and patient management.

Learning objectives:

  1. To learn about the structural and functional cardiac changes associated with varying severities of tricuspid regurgitation, with a focus on right heart remodeling as demonstrated in recent imaging studies such as the Triluminate imaging sub-study.
  2. To discuss the clinical outcomes and right ventricular functional changes following transcatheter tricuspid edge-to-edge repair (t-TEER), referencing key findings from the TRILUMINATE Pivotal trial and related imaging data.
  3. To understand some of the predictors of patient outcomes and rehospitalisation following tricuspid intervention and integrate this knowledge into decision-making for patient selection and follow-up strategies in cardiac imaging.
