Christine Lohmann
Chief Operating Officer
Christine Lohmann joined the Education Center as a project leader in May 2018. She is holding a Dipl. Ing. degree in biotechnology and has been working in the field of cardiovascular research and regenerative medicine for the past 13 years. She was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in April 2024.

Nadine-Estelle Abea
Project Leader
Nadine-Estelle Abea has been a project manager in the field of research and education since 2013. She joined the Education Center team in January 2018. She has a MBA and previously worked as a pr and event specialist in different national and international companies for 12 years.
Anna Lamprou, PhD
Project Leader
Dr. Anna Lamprou joined the Education Center as a project manager multimedia and e-learning in June 2020. She has a Masters in Didactics and New Educational Technologies and a PhD in Science and Technology Studies. Before joining the ZHH Education Center she worked as a research and communications advisor / social media manager at the NGO sector and more recently as a senior research associate at the Department of Computer Science Education of the FHNW School of Education.
Maya Furrer
ESC Liaison Officer
Maya Furrer works for the Foundation for Cardiovascular Research since February 2023. She is an experienced specialist in administration and marketing and holds a federal certificate in leadership & management and a CAS in marketing. She has several years of marketing, events and leadership experience from her previous positions in national and international companies.

Dr. Ruth Amstein
Senior Consultant
Dr. Ruth Amstein was the Director of the Zurich Heart House from 2009 until 2024. She joined the Foundation for Cardiovascular Research as Director Education in 1998. She graduated in Pharmacy from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich and achieved her Ph.D. degree at the University of Basel on pathophysiological processes in the cardiovascular system. Ten years working experience in the pharmaceutical industry with responsibilities in regulatory affairs, clinical research and marketing. In 1991 she became a co-founder of the European Course of Pharmaceutical Medicine at the University Hospital Basel where she acted as Programme Director until 1997.
Since her retirement in 2024 she serves at the ZHH as a senior consultant.
